Who we are:

The Jenkins County Board of Elections was established in December of 2024 to serve as the registrar of voters and the election superintendent for the county.  The Board is made up of five members.  Those members then appoint an Election Supervisor/Director to oversee the administrative duties and directives of the Board.

The Jenkins County Board is an essential group dedicated to upholding the integrity of our democratic process. The Board plays a vital role in ensuring fair and transparent elections.

Key Responsibilities of the Board:

Election Leadership: Serves as the Election Superintendent, guiding our electoral process with expertise and commitment.

Bylaws Creation: Crafts essential bylaws that govern our operations, ensuring clarity and fairness.

Officer Selection: Elects or appoints Board Officers who will lead with integrity and vision.

Hiring Experts: Recruits a skilled Election Supervisor or Director to manage the intricacies of our electoral operations.

Vote Review Panel Participation: Actively serves on the Vote Review Panel to guarantee the integrity of every vote cast.

Regular Meetings: Convene for both regular and specially called meetings—setting the date, time, and location—where vital decisions are made.

Establishing Quorum: Ensures that a quorum is established to facilitate effective decision-making.
