DROP BOX LOCATION AND AVAILABILITY
FOR THE SPECIAL PRIMARY PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONER ELECTION ON
JUNE 17, 2025
According to O.C.G.A. 21-2-382 and 21-2-385, a board of registrars shall establish at least one drop box as a means for absentee-by-mail electors to deliver their ballots to the board of registrars. Drop boxes shall be established at the office of the board of registrars. Such drop boxes shall be closed when advance voting is not being conducted at that location. All drop boxes shall be closed when the advance voting period ends. The drop box location shall have adequate lighting and be under constant surveillance by an election official.
Therefore, the drop box for the Special Primary Public Service Commissioners Election on June 17, 2025, is in the Elections and Registration Office, 833 East Winthrope Avenue, Millen, Georgia 30442. The drop box is available from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, from May 27, 2025, through June 13, 2025. On Saturday, May 31, 2025, and Saturday, June 7, 2025, the drop box is available from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

To provide the citizens of Jenkins County accurate, fair, and honest elections; to assist all citizens in the elections and registration process, while ensuring those who wish to participate in the democratic process are properly registered and understand the process to follow to cast their vote.
Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Monday at 9am at the James L. Henry Administrative Building.
OBTAINING VOTER REGISTRATION LISTS
By law, voter registration lists are available to the public and contain the following information: voter name, residential address, mailing address if different, race, gender, registration date, and last voting date. Pricing is set by the Secretary of State's Office. Such data may not be used by any person for commercial purposes. (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-225 (c))

NOTICE OF ADVANCED IN-PERSON VOTING POLLING PLACE CHANGE
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-265, you are hereby notified of a change in the Advanced In-Person polling location change. The Board of Elections and Registration office has been relocated as follows:

Special Primary Public Service Commissioner Election on June 17, 2025
Pursuant O.C.G.A. §21-2-386(a)(3) this is to notify the citizens of Jenkins County, Georgia that the Election Superintendent will begin the tabulation of the mail-out absentee ballots cast in the General Election on June 17, 2025 at 6 p.m. on June 17, 2025 in the Jenkins County Elections office located at the James A. Henry Administrative Building 833 East Winthrope Avenue Millen, Georgia 30442.

CANVASSING OF RETURNS
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns in the Special Primary Public Service Commissioner Election on June 17, 2025, will begin on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 7 p.m. and continue daily 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. until complete. All computation and canvassing will be held in the Elections Office located at James A. Henry Administrative Building, 833 East Winthrope Avenue, Millen, Georgia.

Pursuant to O.G.C.A. §21-2-386 (a) (2)(A), this is to notify the citizens of Jenkins County, Georgia that the Election Superintendent will begin processing mail-out absentee ballots early for the Special Primary Public Service Commissioner Election on June 17, 2025. The early processing of mail-out absentee ballots will be performed in the Elections Office located at the James A.
